Stephen Loyd, MD

The Department of Health and Human Services estimates there are roughly 2 million people in the U.S. with opioid use disorder. Dr. Stephen Loyd will cover the basics of addiction and addiction treatment (with a focus on opioids) as well as management strategies for addressing acute pain in patients being treated with medication for opioid use disorder. This course will meet the 2-hour state requirement for chemical dependency and the 2-hour state requirement for controlled substance prescribing.
