Interfaith Dental Clinic was created by Nashville Dental Society members to provide affordable, compassionate, and comprehensive dental care for uninsured, working, low-income people, their families, and the elderly. The program emphasizes prevention, behavior modification, and health education thereby helping patients make lasting and transformational changes in their oral health and overall health.
IFDC is honored to be the charitable arm of the Nashville Dental Society, and as such, members are encouraged to:

give volunteer time in the clinic

in their own office

take leadership roles

and to donate their charitable dollars to support patient care.
Dentists typically serve a 2-4 hour shift in the IFDC clinic, from once a month, to once a quarter, to once or twice a year. Everything helps!
Seasoned providers are also needed to serve as mentors for the clinic’s AEGD Residents. When you are approved, instead of being scheduled with patient care during your shift, you will be on hand to advise and answer questions from the dentists completing their general residencies. If you have practiced for at least 10 years, and have a teacher’s heart, this opportunity is for you!
Volunteers submit procedure preferences, and are scheduled with the types of procedures they enjoy. IFDC Registered Dental Assistants are experts at working with volunteer dentists, but bringing your own staff too, if you choose, helps the clinic and they can then share in the life-changing experience with you.
